Character debate – Part 2

Picking up again where we left off last time ~

What if you’re not a Christian?  Let’s put public situations aside.  What do you do when no one is watching?

Do you act a certain way in front of friends and then when you’re alone or with family, you’re different?  Do you talk out of both sides of your face?  Don’t you agree that what you do behind closed doors tells whether or not you are a person of character?  Take a good look at yourself.  Are there things you should change?  If you are a Christian, you KNOW you’ll have to answer for these things on judgment day. And if you’re not…..well I won’t get into the reasons why you SHOULD BE…..but let’s just say what kind of example do you hope to be to your children or generations after you if you have no character?

Need help in your chiropractic practice?

I’m hoping you read the last blog about the chiropractor that lost all hope and the state of our profession.  I know today was supposed to be on character, but we’ll do that next time.  I wanted to let everyone know about a special opportunity available on a first come first served basis.

It’s all in the Roots Chiropractors – Part 3

You would not be the person you are today without your past experiences.  Good or bad, whether you were hurt or you hurt others.  Our experiences are there for us to learn from.  If we’re smart, we’ll grow from them.  Don’t be ashamed of and hide in a dark corner because of where you used to be or for that matter, where you currently are!  Our heavenly Father is there to forgive our sins if you let Him.  Be proud of where you are today.  Maybe you’ve made it through some horrible situation.  Don’t bury it.  Remember it.  You could be a blessing to others simply by sharing your story with them.

It’s all in the Roots Chiropractors – Part 2

We start out as an embryo.  Our childhood forms the root system which eventually brings us into mature adulthood as a flourishing tree for all to see.  What the world sees now is the large tree.  What they don’t see is what is hidden beneath the surface. This is also what we, ourselves, forget about often times.  We think what is in the mirror is all there is.  We need to remember our root system, where we came from.

It’s all in the Roots Chiropractors – Part 1

Do you have problems relating to your patients?  Do you try to understand where they’re coming from in the things they tell you, but you don’t have a clue?  Do you sit on the other side of the table shaking your head in agreement as in “yes I understand”, but you really don’t?

You know, patients can tell if you’re sincere or not, right?   You might think you’re the best actor in town, when in reality you’re not fooling anyone.  Look at your PVA.  Your numbers will give you an accurate picture.

Chiropractic ~ disappearing act?

Hello all ~

I am passing along some VERY IMPORTANT information for the chiropractic profession.  This is from Dr. Matthew McCoy, the editor of the Journal of Pediatric, Maternal and Family health.  If you care at all about our profession and its future, please read on.

“In what will no doubt become a major historical event in the history of the chiropractic profession the United Kingdom’s General Chiropractic Council has declared that there is no research to support the vertebral subluxation as a cause of health concerns.

Some are heralding it as the death of the subluxation.

Chiropractors, Do You Value What You Do? – Part 2

Picking up where we left off last time………..even though I don’t see the value in the air filtration system, my friend does.  He paid a lot of money to have that installed in his home. Although I think it’s crazy to pay over $1700 to replace some filters, obviously, the installer did not.

It’s the same in your chiropractic practice. Maybe someone in the general public thinks it’s outrageous to pay over $100 for x-rays or $40 for an office visit.  Maybe they think it’s ridiculous to come in for more than one adjustment after the pain goes away.

What do you, as the doctor, think?  What value do you place on yourself and what you offer?  Are you confident that you’re worth $40 or so dollars per visit?

Chiropractors, Do You Value What You Do? – Part 1

I’m not asking do you love what you do or are you happy practicing chiropractic.  I’m asking do you see the value behind what you do when you deliver an adjustment?

Looking at it from a philosophical standpoint, do you understand the impact you make by delivering a good adjustment causing a physiological change to improve your patient’s health?  Do you see the value in that?  Isn’t it a privilege and isn’t there value in assisting sick people to get well again?

What are you worth?

Communication in the Chiropractic Office – Part 2

When a new patient walks through your front door, what do they see?

Is your reception area a blank room with poor lighting and dark paneling on the walls?  Are the patients inundated with educational posters & pamphlets before they get to your check-in desk?

Do you have magazines from the 90’s in your reception area for them to read with the front covers falling off and the good articles torn out?  Do you have carpet that’s so old, there’s a walking path worn in it?

Communication in the Chiropractic Office – Part 1

“The problem with communication is the illusion that is has occurred.” — George Bernard Shaw

I got this quote from a friend of mine, Dr. Jim Saeli.  Check out his blog at www.amcrightstart.com.

What a profound statement, huh?  How true has this been throughout your life?  Arguments begin, battles start, feelings get hurt, friendships are severed, marriages end, siblings and immediate family stop talking for years.

Misunderstandings?  Misinterpretations?  Maybe, but it all comes down to communication.  You say one thing….they think you said another. Read the rest of this entry »
