Chiropractic Network Marketing

When you hear the term “network marketing”, for some it’s like fingernails going down a chalkboard.  Do know how many people feel the same way about chiropractic?

Slow down! (the beginning)

Ok, so it’s taken what……5 months for this blog to come to fruition. I guess you could say I had writer’s block! There’s been an interesting series of events in my life the past few months. One, I think many will be able to relate to if you’re a type A personality like myself.  Click below to come on the journey & maybe your life will be changed as well. This is the reason I’m sharing this, so others can be helped from my experience. I’ll pick up with the book review next week.

Do you have toxic thoughts?

Continuing on with Dr. Leaf …….. she says “Toxic thoughts are thoughts that trigger negative and anxious emotions, which produce biochemicals that cause the body stress.  They are stored in your mind, as well as in the cells in your body.”  You may remember from neurology class that every thought, positive or negative goes through the same cycle in the brain.

It’s interesting how different things coincide in life, isn’t it?  I was in church the other day & the pastor was talking about how what you think is what you believe and what you believe, you will say.  Wouldn’t this in turn have a big effect on your attitude as a result of emotions?

What’s your reality?

Oddly enough, I’ve encountered two situations in the past week to put a fire under my butt so to speak and I want to see if it does the same for you.

One  was a three year old child where the pediatrician discussed putting tubes in the ears.  She has frequent colds and ear infections with antibiotics prescribed each time.

How is it that the mother sees a DC herself, yet that doctor never mentioned checking the child? When the mother asked if she could have her child checked, the DC told her she does not see children and did not give a referral for a DC that did see children.

Another was a child with bedwetting problems……….for the past 9 years.  The mother was told that it was a hereditary condition and the child needs to be on medication for it.  By the way, the family members who had a similar condition that made this “hereditary” were a cousin and an uncle.

Strength in numbers.

Getting back to Cottrell, your next choice is on relationships.  Are you the type of person that has successful people around you, or are you on an island by yourself? Cottrell says “no one can achieve long term success working alone”.  Don’t you think this is especially true with chiropractors in a field that is constantly under attack? Have you heard about the proposed CCE changes?  Have you heard about the problems in Texas? It’s time to come out from under your rock.  Wake up & smell the coffee!

Adversity ~ are you a conqueror?

Getting back to Cottrell’s Monday  Morning Choices, this week is on adversity. How do you handle a crisis?  Do you face it head on and do whatever is necessary to succeed and make it through?  Or do you cower back and curl up in a dark corner in the fetal position until it passes?

Do you live in a dream world?

This week’s choice is about dreaming vs. doing.  Are you the type of person that says “I’ll be happy when….”, you move to the bigger house in the bigger neighborhood, when your kids get into the private school, when you hire an associate, when you open your satellite clinic.  When does it end?  I’m not talking about goals, but when you base your happiness on your achievements, yet you never reach the carrot dangled in front of your face.

Do you choose your enemies?

A wise man learns more from his enemies than a fool from his friends. Baltasar Gracian

Ever hear the advice “keep your friends close & your enemies closer”?  In one of his examples, Cottrell states “by getting to know your enemies, you soon figure out how they think, how they react, and that can help you stay ahead when it comes time for the race”.
